Rockway Golf Course

In 2010, Rockway Golf Course celebrated its 75th anniversary.

Back in 1935, with communities around the globe struggling under the weight of the Great Depression, Kitchener dared to be different when it opened Rockway Golf Course. At a time when golf was considered somewhat of an elitist sport - the construction of this area's first-ever public golf course helped to put many local people to work and has since introduced thousands - young and old alike - to the game of golf.

Built on the site of a former sewage treatment plant, the course has grown to become a favourite within Waterloo Region - and home base for some of Ontario's best golfers.
