Accessible Golf Cart

Golf Clinics for People with Disabilities

An accessible golf cart is available for use at the Doon Valley golf course, located at 500 Doon Valley Drive.

The cart allows people who have mobility challenges to continue participating in the sport of golf. The cart is not only for players who are in a wheelchair, but it can also be used by participants who, due to life events or health issues (e.g. stroke), do not have the balance or stamina to go and play like they used to. The cart will help to reduce limitations and allow individuals to get out and enjoy the sport of golf with their friends again.

Golf Cart Features

  • Drive onto greens and tees with no impact to turf
  • Drive over rough terrain with confidence
  • Easy user enter and exit using the 350 degree swivel seat
  • Play using the elevating seat
  • Easy handling with the ergonomic controls.
  • Golf club bag can be placed right on the cart and is easy to reach

If you are a youth or adult with a disability and have an interest in golf, Kitchener Golf offers clinics for beginners and those with more experience. Kitchener Golf works with City of Kitchener's Inclusion Services and Kidsability to provide classes that provide instruction and practice in putting, chipping and driving. Find out more about the cart and programs available to get you started.

Thank you to the KW Golf Committee, Kitchener Golf, Kitchener Sports Association and the Westmount Oktoberfest Charity Pro-Am for the generous support and donations!  Without your combined efforts, providing this cart would not have been possible.
